Close up

If you have seen any youtube videos featuring Colourpop shadows then you will know that they are technically a pressed pigment but apply like a cream eyeshadow. I usually avoid cream shadows because I have oily lids but these babies stay put like a powder (as long as you use a primer and/or base). It is best to apply them with your fingers but they are also blend-able if you want to use a brush.

I really like the vibrant colors of these shadows as well as the price point ($5 each). I will definitely order more in the future! For the time being I want to play with these and post some looks here on the blog. Follow me on google friend connect or google plus :)

Neutral Eye Look with MAC's "Melon" Pigment & NYX shadows

Here is a "neutral" eye look I did a few months ago...I liked the way it came out so this is my go to look when I am feeling uninspired ;) I have had MAC Melon Pigment for a few years now and it's one of my favorite MAC products! It's described as a golden peach frost on the maccosmetics.com website but on my NC45 skintone, it is just frosty gold. I see no peach lol I just pack in onto my lid over a white base or glitter glue with a brown color in the crease and instant GLAM. I've been looking at other pigments to purchase but at $20 a pop I have yet to find another that I like as well. If you have a favorite MAC pigment then let me know in the comment section and I'll check it out!
