Heart shaped chocolate chip & butterscotch cookie cake

Since this is my first recipe post, I apologize for the lack of photos. I totally forgot to take pictures along the way lol

Tools:
2 mixing bowls
whisk
heart shaped baking pan (I got mine from Daiso)
an oven (duh)

Ingredients:
3/4 cup of softened butter
1 cup light brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups flour
2 tsp cornstarch
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup butterscotch chips

Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Spray pan with non-stick cooking spray
2. With whisk (because I can't afford a stand mixer lol) beat the butter until it's creamy and smooth. Add in the brown sugar until that's creamy and smooth. Mix in the eggs and vanilla.
3. In another bowl, mix together the dry ingredients. Slowly mix in the wet ingredients until a thick dough forms. Add chocolate and butterscotch chips.
4. Reduce oven to 325 degrees. Press dough into heart shaped pan and bake for 30-35 minutes. Cover the sides with foil if you don't want them to get too crispy.
5. Let cool and enjoy with a scoop or two of vanilla ice cream. You're welcome ;)

My nails lately

This fall I've been so busy with school, the internship and work that I knew I wouldn't have time to do my weekly at-home manicures like I used to. Same thing with my at-home chemical peels and weekly hair wrapping. It sucks, it really does. Self-care is very important for everyone and means something different for everyone. To me, it's pampering myself and feeling clean, primped and pretty.

So I've been relying on the professionals to do it (my nails, at least). Unfortunately I've had some bad experiences in nail salons. From the catty gossiping about customers in another language, to overbooking and making me wait over 30 mins after my appointment was set up to overcharging and cutting my cuticle until it bleeds! Very frustrating. I've decided not to visit the nail salons anymore and go back to doing my own manicures.

Anyway, here they are.

After a week and a half my nails had grown so much it started to look ratchet. That's my friend's kitty. He's only 3 months old and is teething. He bit my lip :(

Fall Semester Wish List

Fall semester starts in less than 3 weeks! I'm excited. This summer has been fun as I had some new experiences, found a paid internship and am dating someone special. It's a long story but I got an internship in local government! It's been fun so far, I do mostly event planning and administrative duties but when school starts up again I will be starting assisting the social workers with case management which is exciting.

Anyway, I have been trying to prepare for the new semester by scouting out for things I need/want which includes researching studying & organization tips as well as outfits and school supplies. Here's a collage of my favorite things I've found online so far. I've ordered one thing so far and hope to acquire the rest by the start of the semester. Good for me, I have Amazon prime *evil laughter*
